voyage of the dawn treader is coming out in 2010!!!! I cannot wait. I have always loved the narnia books and ever since prince caspian came out I have been wondering when voyage of the dawn treader will come out. Did you know lucy pevensie (or the person who plays her) is my age. she was born in 1995. edmund is 19 or 18, susan is 22 and peter is 23. and in the movie they are all in their early to mid teens. its horrible. have you ever wondered why people cast people who are way older than they are supposed to be in the movie. it always looks the same but why cant they just have them as all the same age. any way today was fun. i sat around doing nothing and then I watched julie and julia for the 2nd time since we got it, which was a week ago. I still love it. it is hilarious. the first time i watched it I laughed sooo hard ms becky probably thought I was a nut case. hehe. maybe I am. last night I slept over at erics house and we prank called people and I watched 2012. it was cool I guess and the special effect were awesome. it wasnt one of those movies you really get into and it would have been better to see in theatres. except we wouldnt be able to see it anyway.... its banned. the Indonesian government thinks that it puts fear into people so malls arent allowed to show it. nut they do anyway.

schools out for idul ahda

I rally felt the need to blog and so I am blogging... imagine that. so anyways, i cant wait for thursday. it is goig to be so awesome having a 5 day weekend. i am dreading tomorrow though becaue their are still 6 more classes until my vacation!!! urrgghhh! My life right now s what youd call average. nothing really big happening at all... haha. I havent bee swimming in a while and I am starting to work out officially. i would occasionally bafore but now \i have a list of the thingsthat i ne to do and it is going to be hard.
I CAN DO 41 PUSH UPS. and that was on a day that I was feeling sick. I cant wait until I get a gold on my fitness test for pushups. but now I have to work on my pull ups and that is really hard. I have to do 11! urrrgghhh again. it is kinda strange how my friend desmen can do a lot more that 11 but he only has one hand.
guess what.I moved up in the drums. I now play the snare, the music stand and the rain stick. yes i actually play the music stand. we are playing tarzan and I had to improvse cuz we didnt have any bottoms of kitchen bans or garbage cans. I am also staring to like bahasa now. its horrifying I know but its starting to grow on me. pak vge has made us do this booklet in math thatis super hard and last last test we almost all failed.either we are all not too smart or he didnt teach us right. when he first gave it o us he told us the grade nines are all really struggling in this area so we are going to give it to you so that you wont struggle with it next year. WHAT! so your going to give e something that grade 9s can barely grasp and obviously the grade 8's are going to uderstand it perfectly. sometimes I dont understand indonesian logic.
john, jun bum (yes thats his name), dawoon and jin jae are being moved up a level in bahasa because they are too noisy. ibu lea send them out of the class and all of a suden we had complete silence for lke 5 minutes, and then they came in again. during that 5 minutes she commented on how quiet it was and I said if she liked it she should just move them up in bahasa and she said "hey... thats a good idea..:)" so she went and wrote ther names on a post it and talked to them after wards. they are all good enough in bahasa but I feel sorr for ibu miny who will have to teach them next

wow long time no blog.

so since the last time i blogged I have written a bunch of essays taken ateleast 5 tests and ... yeah. I have also gone on retreat which is something that i would like to talk to you guys about. for three days every year each grade goes on this thing called retreat where we all go to some random place to eat, listen to devotional sessions and eat some more. not that I dont like the food but.,.. I do not like the food. so yeah. really all you know about the retreat so far is that it is lacking in food and ... there is alot of it. I wish that the worship session would at least be more thatn 2 songs seeing that the session is min. an hour long!
sometimes I do not understand indonesian culture. there is this girl in my class who does not know what a whore is yet she has gone to an english school all of her life. the story is actually really funny. she aks in the middle of class "whats a whore?" so we are al wierding out and so we answer her " its sort of like a prostitute." "whats that" by now you know she has definatly not read her old testament at all. so we tell her to ask the teacher and ... that went well. this girl is a bit of an odd ball.
anothe thing is when we do worship in chapel the worship team keeps making us stand up then sit then stand... and it gets really annoying.

random rantings /non-rantings

church is awesome! and we are moving so that makes it even more awesome . anyway i cant wait until we get to the new location. its in like 3 weeks or something. why did every body put me in charge of our class dance. didnt they see our dance last year. it was HORIIBLE! I have issues with teaching other people dances. ask tara.
life is good here in indo. I have a really cool math teacher who makes jokes and stuff. its totally awesome:)
I also have mrs rebecca as my english teacher and there is so much homework in her class. I guess that that is normal because we are writing our autobiographies and that will take a lot of work. i heard that it has to be like and inch thick and that might be a little bit hard because we are in grade 8. but apparently no one has ever not done it so yeah...
i started watching the office a few weeks ago and I am already on season 4. I sort of skipped season 1 though. ha ha
it is really easy to buy the DVDs here because everything is pirated. it is a common sight to see someone filming the screen in a theater. its kind of hard to get used to. every thing is all protected in America and stuff.
any way back to church. the old building is all bare now and all the air conditioning units are out all ready. really weird.
did I tell you that I was in after school band. anyway I am and it is pretty fun. I play the cowbell. I dream of being a world famous cowbell player and winning billions of academy awards for my acting as a cowbell.
that was irrelevant.

earthquake

Oh my goodness there was an earthquake. It was so cool... I was shaking and my mom said "um we should probably get under cover"... ha ha:) thankfully I don't think anyone was hurt.
anyway, I have had a great first few weeks of school but i have to write an essay in humanities and I have a poster due tomorrow about polyethylene which is the most common plastic in the world. it makes things from shopping bags to bullet proof vests.I bet you really needed to know that.:) Haha.
Candace is here and we have had a blast . when my dad went to have his surgery on his shoulder we watched a bunch of movies. last night a bunch of ladies were here so I was the official photographer and now know that my specialty is awkward shots. haha.
I cant wait until this quarter finishes. it is a short quarter so i think that I will have a lot of fun in jogja at language shool. NOT!!! I am soooo dreading it and I almost wish it would close down from some sort of natural disaster.
anyway I have officially discovered the office. the steve carrel office not some random office at the school or something. that would be weird. it is so funny. we watch it al the time as a family now and it is hilarious.

first few weeks of school

hey long time no blog. i have been having a good first few weeks of school and it has been really fun with my new class. we have 3 new people in our class and they are all girls. my homeroom teacher is mr gary and ibu joceline is his assistant thing. school is really fun except for B.I. with ibu lea. she is making us speak only bahasa and it is really annoying >:( at first I really didnt like mr vincent but after a while he got ok I guess. in pe we are doing ppractice rounds for track and peild day and i cant wait for it. for the first break we are going to one of those language course thngos and I really dont want to go. i wonder what non life threatening illness will keep you in bed for two weeks? :P

news.

well today i found out who i am in class with. none of my friends except Eric. it stinks. well i am exited about this year and cant wait for it to start. it wont be as fun without everybody from last year. still i guess i have to accept that and suck it up. and pray that they make last minute changes. my homeroom teachers are Mr Gary and ibu Joceline. i don't know any body in my class except Eric Christie and Jessica so it will be hard to get used to it. if any body heard about the bombing in Jakarta don't worry or anything. it is just bad publicity. I mean what do you know about Indonesia except that there were a bunch of bombings and a tsunami along with the most amount of volcano's in one country. and i live here.

anyway i have a bunch of exciting or not so exciting hobbies: photography, watercolour and modeling (not the wear something outrageously silly and say it is the new fashion but making planes out of plastic and gluing them together)ha ha! I have also decided to become a teacher. i don't really know why but I would like to teach history in some remote extremely preppy private school.
